Today in the scientific world, the term "linguacultural" is widespread. Generally, linguaculture is a discipline that studies the manifestation, reflection, and fixation of culture in language and discourse. This paper represents the linguacultural type Bogan as generalized ideas about persons who are relevant to a particular culture. Moreover, it examines a certain type of communicative behavior that had a significant impact on the formation of modern Australian mentality. Its aim is to determine the content of the linguacultural type Bogan based on value, and image characteristics.
Based on the analysis of vocabulary definitions, descriptions, and interpretations of the image of a bogan in the mass consciousness of Australians, a modern interpretation of the concept is given in connection with the evolution of the meaning of the word bogan. Among the well-known types of linguistic culture in Australia there is the image of an Australian of Anglo-Saxon origin, whose views, way of life, and language are considered rude, primitive, and he himself is perceived as a man uneducated and uncultured.
Key words: linguaculture, linguacultural type, discourse, media discourse, bogan.
